Invisalign Teen is the Invisalign course designed for adolescents, a clear alternative to fixed braces that allows for teeth still erupting. We assess your child's needs and the likely treatment time at a consultation.
Treatment is led by Dr Kia Papagalani, specialist orthodontist (GDC No. 228487).

Many teenagers put off treatment because they do not want metal brackets at school. Invisalign Teen, part of our orthodontics in London, moves the teeth with clear removable aligners that irritate the mouth less than fixed brackets and can be taken out to eat and clean. Dr Papagalani assesses your child's teeth at a consultation and confirms which Invisalign course and what cost apply.
An adolescent mouth is still changing, so the plan has to allow for teeth that have not fully erupted. We plan diagnosis first, so the treatment map is clinically sound before the first aligner is fitted. Where more control is needed, we also provide fixed metal braces.
Fees are itemised at the consultation, so parents know what they are paying for. Keeping the result afterwards depends on retainer wear, which we set out in our orthodontic aftercare guide.
Leave your number and we will call you back. Nothing is booked until you say so.
Teenagers who want a discreet alternative to metal brackets and can commit to wearing aligners for the prescribed hours; the aligners carry wear indicators that help with this. Alternatives include clear ceramic braces and, for older patients, Invisalign Full. The specialist orthodontist confirms suitability and timeline at a clinical assessment. If your child finds dental visits daunting, we keep appointments calm and predictable.
We scan your child's teeth, define the movement needed and flag any complications. If another approach fits better, we discuss Invisalign Lite or lingual braces.
A series of clear aligners is made to fit your teen's mouth, each set moving the teeth a small step further.
Your teen wears each set for the prescribed period before moving to the next, and we check at reviews that the teeth are tracking.
We confirm the teeth have reached their planned positions and set out the retention steps.
We plan with 3D imaging, which lets you and your child see a preview of the planned movement before starting. Clinical standards are led by Dr Papagalani, specialist orthodontist.
Invisalign Teen is one of five Invisalign courses we provide, alongside Invisalign First for younger children, Invisalign Lite, Invisalign Full and Invisalign Express for minor corrections.
Parents tell us they value a calm, unhurried manner, honest options and a consultation with no pressure to proceed. For younger children starting earlier, we provide Invisalign First.
The fee is set at the consultation, once we have planned the movement your child's teeth need.
It depends on the complexity of the alignment; you get an estimated timeline after the clinical assessment. For minor corrections we offer Invisalign Express.
Pressure for a day or two after each new aligner is normal and usually settles.
As long as retainers are worn as instructed. We explain the retention steps at the consultation.
The specialist orthodontist examines your child's teeth, confirms whether aligners are suitable and sets the timeline and cost. You leave with a written plan. Learn what happens at your orthodontic consultation and how to book.
